Step 1
Needle and Seat
- Put your vehicle in park and turn it off.

- Open hood of your vehicle and locate the air filter.

- Remove screw attached to air filter assembly. Remove air filter unit.

- Locate the needle and seat screw.

- Use 3/8 wrench to hold the bolt in place. Now use the flat head screw driver to unscrew the screw.
- Twist counterclockwise with flathead screwdriver.

- Remove screw and set it to the side.

- Use the 7/16 wrench and twist the needle and seat counterclockwise.

- Pull out the needle and seat.

- Insert your new needle and seat. Twist clockwise until about half the threads are in the carburetor.

- To reassemble, go in reverse order from step 10.
- To replace screws that were removed, twist clockwise until the screws have a tight hold.

- Once everything is reassembled, turn on the car.
- If the car is making a high pitched idling noise, you may need to adjust needle and seat tighten (clockwise) to reduce rpm and loosen (counterclockwise) to increase.
