- Using the Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the single screw securing the key fob shell.

- After removing the screw, remove the back cap of the key shell with a flathead screwdriver and twist the screwdriver sideways.
- Do not lever it upwards to prevent damage to the inner board.

- Carefully remove the motherboard inside the now open key without touching any of the inner metal components to prevent damage to the system.

- Once you have removed the board, repeat steps 1-2 with the new key and place the motherboard on the rubber.

- Place the cap back on the new key and screw everything back into place. Test the key on your vehicle to make sure that all the buttons work.

While this guide shows how to switch the board between shells, unless the key has a removable blade, you will need to get the new one cut with specialized equipment.
