Replacement sparkplugs should always be checked for the right gap. New sparkplugs come with new washers that need to be torqued down to seat the washers, undone, then tightened down again to the required torqued setting. This is important as they can come loose. Also, Its a good idea when you remove the plug wires but before you remove the plugs you should blow down the spark plug tubes to insure there is no dirt or grit that will fall into the cylinders when you remove the plugs. This is why its a good idea to do one sparkplug at a time.
