Step 1

              Head and Tail Lights               
  • Make sure your car is turned off and check to make sure the head lights are not on.

  • Pull the hood lever to unlock the car hood. Pull the safety lever upwards and push the hood of the car open. Put the hood strut (metal rod) to hold the hood up.

Step 3

  • Remove the connector (wire) connected to the bulb. Should be on the left side of the car (looking from the front) next to the windshield wiper fluid tube.

Step 4

  • Pull out the rubber cover. If maintenance is not done often on the car the rubber cover may get stuck. This can be solved by using tools to push or pry out the rubber cover.

Step 5

  • Unhook the metal clip fixing the unusable lightbulb.

  • Remove the unusable light bulb and place in the new light bulb.

  • Hook the metal clip back on.

  • Insert the rubber cover back.

  • Plug the connector into the new light bulb.

Step 10

  • Open the trunk of the car. Remove the 3 screws on the plastic cover using the Phillips #2 screwdriver. All of them will the same length of 19.0 mm, and will not have to be put in back into the exact same positions.

Step 11

  • Remove the bulb assembly (twist counterclockwise). The light bulb assembly is located above the center of where the plastic cover (before it was removed).

Step 12

  • Pull the light bulb from the socket.

This should take about 15-20 minutes to completely change all the head and tail lights in the car if you are unfamiliar with this process. Once someone is familiar with this it should not take them more than 10 minutes to complete the entire process.
