Introduction
Before changing the battery in your Acura TL, try and get a jump start from somebody else, and if after the jumpstart, your car does not run much longer, then it is time to change the battery. It is important to differentiate between the alternator and the battery before making a larger purchase such as a new car battery.
Replacing a car battery for a 2000 Acura TL will be likely because the car itself is older at this point and will likely need one if the car battery has not been replaced. Replacing the battery yourself will save a lot of money and save a trip to the mechanic if not necessary.
Before beginning make sure the car is off and has had time to cool down before beginning to work on the battery.
