Introduction
Before using this guide, check the light to make sure that it isn’t just loose in the socket. A loose bulb can prevent the light from projecting when stepping on the brake pedal. The bulb may be blown out as a cause of the tail light not working so it is essential that you check the bulb to see what the cause is before replacing it.
Be sure to power off the ignition and engage the parking brake before you begin.
What you need
Step 1
Tail Light
- Open the trunk.
- Remove the two screws from the tail light area in the trunk using a Torx screwdriver.

- Pull back the trunk covering.
Pull back the trunk covering.
Step 3
- Pull on the gray plastic part of the tail light assembly to remove it from the car.

- Unscrew the bulb from its socket and replace it with a new one.

- Put the tail light assembly back in the car.
- Replace the trunk covering.
- Screw the trunk covering screws back in place using a Torx screwdriver.
