Step 1

              Air Filter               
  • Make sure the vehicle is off before proceeding. Working under the cars hood can lead to burns if the car is still hot. Be careful!
  • Open the hood by pulling on the lever by the driver’s feet.
  • Push upward on the latch under the center of the hood to unlock it.

  • Locate the Air Box

Step 3

  • Locate the two latches that keep the air box closed.
  • Push on the latch to open the air box as shown in the picture, and repeat on the second latch.
  • Pull up on the top part of the air box and push it to the front of the car to open.

  • Make note of the orientation of the air filter before removing it.
  • Lift the filter straight up from the triangle corner and remove it.

Step 5

  • Inspect for debris and dirt.
  • The first filter is dirty but does not need to be cleaned or replaced yet.
  • The second filter is dirty and does need to be cleaned or replaced
  • Do not discard the filter because it may be covered under a warranty.
