Introduction
Air filters protect your engine from contaminants, letting it breathe easier. Changing your air filter helps enhance performance and efficiency as well as extend your engine’s life.
If you drive on dirty or dusty roads or notice a drop in performance or gas mileage you may need to replace it more often. Changing your air filter is one of the simplest and least expensive maintenance projects you can undertake.
What you need
Step 1

- Make sure the vehicle is in park and the engine is off.
- Pull the hood release lever.

- Press the latch located under the grill to unlock hood.

- Locate air filter assembly.

- Loosen hose clamp nearest to air filter cover using a flathead screwdriver.
- An 8mm (5/16") nut driver can be used instead of the screwdriver.

- Pull air filter assembly away from silicone tube connector.

- Pull air filter assembly out of vehicle.

- Remove 6- 8mm (5/16") x 25mm hex bolts using the 8mm (5/16") hex key.

- Remove top cover from air filter assembly.

- Pull air filter from housing.
