              Pedal Stopper Pad               
  • Open the door in the driver position, and down where the pedals are you will see the stop pedal system.
  • You will see that there is a missing part because the pedal should push completely a white button so the break backlights can turn off. This missing part is called the pedal stopper pad.

Step 2

  • Proceed to disconnect the stop lamb switch for safety purposes, which is located above the white button.
  • This piece detects when the button is pushed and sends the information to the back lights so they can turn off.
  • If the button is not pushed, the car will mantain the backlights on.

  • Add some glue to the surface under the button and to the pedal stopper pad.

  • Place the new pedal stopper pad in the surface under the button with glue.

  • Release the pedal, making sure that the pedal stopper pad touches the button, and use this to reforce the pedal stopper pad with glue.

  • Connect again the stop lamb switch and make sure that the pedal stopper pad touches the button when you release the brake pedal.
  • If it touches the button in this position, the back lights will detect that the car is not braking, so the lights will turn off.
