Introduction

One way to tell if your wiper blades need to be changed is if they are making noises or leaving streaks behind during or after operation they may need to be replaced. This guide will show you how to replace both front wipers as well as the rear wiper.

Remember, when working on any car repair, to make sure the car is off and in park.

What you need

Step 1

              Windshield Wiper               
  • Turn on the wipers and turn off the car when they are at the apex of the arc. This will allow easier access to the wiper.

Step 2

  • Grab the wiper and lift it away from the windshield.

  • Grab the wiper and rotate it 90 degrees.

  • Slide the wiper blade straight down away from the rubber of the blade.
  • Remove the wiper from the arm.

  • Take off the plastic covering at the base of the arm.

  • Lift up the wiper blade and rotate the wiper 90 degrees.
  • There will be some resistance, however you should not need to use a lot of force. If it does not come off easy you may be doing it wrong.

To reinstall the wipers slide the wiper in the opposite direction as taking them off.
