Some signs that your windshield wipers need to be replaced are streaking or smearing on the windshield when there is rain, a squeaking sound when they are on or if the blades look damaged or worn out. Before completing this guide, you need to find and purchase the correct size windshield wipers. This guide is an easy step-by-step manual on how to remove and replace your windshield wipers on your 2010-Present Toyota 4Runner.

Step 1

              Windshield Wipers               
  • Turn on your windshield wipers and turn them off when the wipers reach the middle point on the windshield.

  • Carefully, lift your windshield wipers up and away from the windshield.

  • Look for the small hook attachment that connects the windshield wipers.

  • Unhook the J hook that attaches the windshield wipers and pull off the old wiper blades.

  • Push the arm end of the new windshield wipers through the hole in front of the adaptor.
  • Push the new wiper blade onto the arm hook until it clicks.
