Introduction
This guide details how to properly remove the rear-outside seat hinges, but can also be applied to the removal of the rear-inside seat hinges, as the removal process is almost identical. Although this repair is made on a 2014 Toyota Corolla, it also applies to all 2012-2017 models of the Toyota Corolla as they are in the same generation.
What you need
Step 1
Rear seat hinge
- Unlock the latch on top of the rear seats and pull both seats down.
- Lift the trunk’s carpeting up to reveal the circular hooks attached to the seats’ carpeting. Unhook the seats’ carpeting from the circular hooks in the trunk, revealing the hinges.
