Introduction

Before beginning this repair, turn off the car, engage the parking brake, and disconnect the battery.

What you need

Step 1

              Headlight Bulb               
  • Pull the hood lever.

  • Push the lever underneath the hood to the left.
  • The lever is located in the center underneath the hood.

Step 3

  • Pull up the hood.

  • Insert the support rod into the slot.
  • The stent is located to the right of the hood.
  • The slot is located in the underside of the hood to the right.

Step 5

  • Pull out the connector from the bulb.
  • Depending on the make of your vehicle, you may have push the tab on the connector that reads “push” before pulling out the connector.

Step 6

  • Twist the plastic ring out from the bulb.

Step 7

  • Pull out the old bulb.
  • High pressure halogen gas is sealed inside the halogen bulb. The bulb may break if the glass envelope is scratched or the bulb is dropped.
  • When handling the bulb, do not touch the glass envelope.

Step 8

  • Insert the replacement bulb.
  • High pressure halogen gas is sealed inside the halogen bulb. The bulb may break if the glass envelope is scratched or the bulb is dropped.
  • When handling the bulb, do not touch the glass envelope.

  • Twist the plastic ring back onto the bulb.

  • Insert the connector into the bulb.
