Introduction

Please make sure that the new LED headlight bulbs are compatible with the vehicle. In addition, don’t touch the glass of the new bulb with your fingers as the oil from your hands can reduce the life of the bulb or cause it to shatter.

Before beginning this repair, make sure to to turn off your car and put the parking brake on.

What you need

Step 1

              Headlight               
  • Turn your vehicle off and put the emergency brake on before you begin the repair.
  • Pull the tab beside the driver side footwell to release the hood.
  • Pull the tab locking the hood upwards.
  • Pull the hood up to its maximum position.

Step 2

  • Attach the hood strut in its designated position.
  • The headlight bulbs can be found on the left and the right of the engine bay.

  • The bulb is located behind the headlight and to the left of the windshield washer reservoir.

Step 4

  • Pull the bulb out from the socket.
  • Use a prying tool at the base of the socket to detach the bulb from the holder.

Step 5

  • Attach the new LED bulb to the socket.
  • Don’t touch the new bulb with your hands or fingers. The oil from your skin can reduce the life of the bulb or cause it to shatter.
  • Place the bulb in the holder and turn it counterclockwise.
  • Once it is firmly in place, it should not budge.
