Introduction

It’s important to realize that 2013 Nissan Rogue is a push-to-start vehicle and in order to start the car, the key must be in close proximity. Without a functioning battery, the car will not be able to receive signals from the keyless remote to know it is in proximity to start the car.

What you need

Step 1

              Key Fob Battery               
  • Remove the key from the keyring by pulling the button on the back of the keyring from right to left while pulling the loop at the top.

  • Carefully separate the back cover from the rest of the remote.
  • You can use a tool to make this step easier, or you can just do it using your fingers, being very careful.

  • Carefully remove the individual pieces from inside, one at a time.
  • There are two pieces in total to remove.

  • Remove the battery from the remote.
  • Put the new battery into the remote and press down firmly to make sure it is secure.
  • Be sure to check that your new battery matches with your old battery.

  • Carefully snap the back cover onto the rest of the remote.
