Introduction
The filter can be bought from any local auto parts store, or those carrying them, as well as online retailers. Just make sure the filter is specific to your car model, as this guide applies to the Toyota Highlander from model years 2014-2019.
What you need

- Make sure car is off by removing key or moving it to the off position as shown.

- Move to the passenger side of the car and open the passenger side door.

- Open and empty the glovebox.

- Detach the latch at the lower right-hand side of the glovebox.
- Pull it outwards and unclip it with your finger as shown.

- Push in both upper sides of the glovebox to unhook the stops.
- This should cause the entire glovebox to come down and detach.

- Remove the front plastic cover as shown. Pull on both upper tabs using your fingers.

- Swing down the front plastic cover.
- Unhook the tabs from both sides of the rear plastic cover and pull it out.

- Remove the old cabin air filter from the vehicle.
- Clean any debris found in the cabin air filter compartment.

Step 9
- Insert the new cabin air filter into the compartment.
- Be mindful of the airflow direction arrow. The airflow arrow should point upwards as shown.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
