  • Always be sure to properly disconnect the battery before doing any electrical work on the car.
  • Use a spudger to gently pry down on the clear plastic covers until they pop off.
  • Do not pry on or near the highlighted spaces in the pictures. These areas are where the clips are located and are much more prone to damage.

  • Use a spudger to pry off the silver reflective pieces within the socket housing.
  • Be cautious prying near the highlighted areas. However, for these inserts, the clips are less likely to break due to their location underneath.

  • Gently remove the old, burnt out bulbs from the electrical socket.

  • Adding a small amount of bulb grease to the connection can help prevent moisture build up and preserves the health of the socket.
  • Gently push the new bulbs into the sockets, making sure not to damage the embedded wire leads.

  • Replace the silver inserts and clear covers by pushing the clips back into their respective slots.

  • Repeat the process for the rear dome lights.

  • Reconnect the car battery.
  • Test each light to ensure the bulbs are properly connected and light up by clicking each one on and off several times.

The newly replaced dome lights should retain all prior functionality, turning on when a door is opened or by pressing on the cover itself.
