Introduction

A sun visor is a component of an automobile located on the interior just above the windshield. They are responsible for shading the eyes of drivers and passengers from the glare of sunlight. For this reason, a sun visor should be replaced immediately if faulty to ensure the driver’s safety.

This guide will require you to use a drill. If you are not old enough to handle a power tool or do not know how to use power tools, I strongly recommend you use a screwdriver instead to keep you safe.

What you need

Step 1

              Sun Visor               
  • Using your hands, remove the protective cap to make the sun visor screws visible.

Step 2

  • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver or drill bit above the screws and align the drill bit to the head of the screw.
  • Gently remove the screws from their position.

  • Detach the sun visor once all screws have been removed.

Step 4

  • Place and hold the new sun visor.
  • Begin to drill in the same screws you removed in step 3.
  • Note: You may need assistance from a second person.

  • Once the sun visor is secure, place the protective cap back on.

  • Move the sun visor into different positions to verify proper installation.
  • The sun visor should NOT feel weak or jiggle around.
