When playing sound from the laptop, there is either no sound or the sound may be distorted.

A common issue is that your drivers are not up to date. Your first step would be to identify if the drivers are up to date. To check if your drivers are not up to date, go to your control panel then device manager and finally go to sound controllers. Within sound controllers right click on Realtek High Definition Audio and update the driver

If you find that your drivers are all up to date, your speaker could possibly have malfunctioned. Speakers are not typically easy to repair so it is likely you will need to replace the current speaker.

Your laptop is clearly powered on yet the laptop display is not displaying the desired image.

If you find that moving your screen back and forth is a temporary solution to this error then your problem is with the wires. It is possible they could be loose.

Randomly colored dots appearing across the laptop display may indicate dead or stuck pixel. Here are some links to pages that may help stuck pixels.Dead pixels will likely require a screen replacement.

If the laptop has fallen or sustained physical damage and problems develop with the display, you are likely going to have to replace the entire LCD screen. In order to do this, follow this guide.
