Back Panel
- Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the eight 6.5 mm Phillips #1 screws.
- Only the four screws in the center are removable, the four along the edges are held in by rivets but can be loosened.

- Remove the back panel of the laptop.

- Connect a grounding cord to a metal interface on the laptop.
- Ground the laptop to prevent static electricity from damaging the electrical components inside the laptop.

RAM
- Release the tabs on the RAM by bending the tabs away from the RAM.
- The RAM will rise upwards at an angle.

- Pull the RAM out of the slot.
- If you are replacing both sticks of RAM, repeat the previous step for removing the RAM.

It’s a laptop and what you are holding is a 200-pin soDIMM RAM module.

Not only is it 200-pin soDIMM module instead of a 240-pin soDIMM module, it’s a pc2-6400 (800MHz) and not a pc2-5300 (667MHz).
