Reset your wireless router and modem.

If your router has outdated firmware, your security settings are incompatible with your device, or your device is incompatible with the router, you may be experiencing wireless connectivity issues. This problem can get quite in-depth. We encourage you to search the internet for guides on this, contact the manufacturer of the router, or find others who have experienced similar problems.

A wireless connectivity issue in your Acer Aspire 5741-5698 may be caused by a damaged or failing PCI Express Mini due to prolonged use. If this is the case and all other troubleshooting fails, replace your WLAN Card.

Hold the key and then press the left directional arrow to increase the brightness of the display.

Factory reset your Acer Aspire 5741-5698 by resetting the laptop, then holding both the and keys when the Acer logo appears on the screen. Follow the instructions on the menu that pops up after Windows is done loading your files to restore your computer to factory default settings.
