  • Make sure the laptop is turned off and the battery is removed.
  • Above the top row of the keys, locate three plastic latches.

  • Use the medal spudger to press each tab. The keyboard should release.
  • Slide the spudger, so that the tabs do not reset after pressing each one.

  • Gently lift the keyboard up.
  • The keyboard ribbon cable is still attached to the motherboard.

  • Carefully unplug the connector sticker on the back of the keyboard.
  • Be gentle, do not force it out.

  • Remove the keyboard.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
