The laptop screen is black and doesn’t appear to be on, or the laptop appears to be on but the screen is blank.
Download this file. Copy this file to a flash drive and insert into the USB port. Simultaneously press the Fn key, Esc key and power button until the power light comes on. The light should then start to blink. Let the laptop run from 1-7 minutes and the problem should be fixed.
Replace the screen using this guide.
Consider replacing the hard drive with a new one using this guide.
The laptop will power down in the middle of use. The laptop may or may not then turn back on.
Plug the charging cord into the laptop charging port and then plug into the wall. Allow the laptop to charge for a few hours until it’s fully charged.

The laptop will get really hot and then shut down.
There is a loud grinding or rattling noise even if the laptop appears to be functioning properly.
The laptop appears to die quickly even after battery is charged fully.
