Introduction

The battery ensures that the device will turn on and work. A dead battery will result in an inability to use the device unless constantly plugged into the charger.

Before changing the battery, look to the power cord to verify the cord works. If the cord does not work, the netbook will not turn on or show any increase in power. If this occurs, consider purchasing a new power cord.

  • Before you replace the battery, ensure that the device is unplugged and powered off.
  • Pull the upper left switch on the back of the laptop to the left into the unlock position.
  • Pull the upper right switch to the left and hold it in place.

  • Pull the battery straight out.
  • To properly dispose of battery, locate your nearest recycling plant to dispose of it there.
