- Unplug the laptop and turn it off.
- Remove the twelve 3mm screws using the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

- With the hinges of the laptop pointing away from you, gently begin to pull on the portion between the two hinges towards yourself until you feel the cover pop off.
- Remove the back cover from the device.

Battery
- Using your fingers, gently disconnect the battery plug from the motherboard.
- Remove the two screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
- Remove the battery from the device.

Speakers
- Gently peel off all of the black take that sticks down the speaker cables.
- Disconnect the two ribbon cables to allow the speaker cable to be removed from underneath.
- Unplug the speaker cable from the motherboard.
- Using a spudger, gently remove the speakers from the device.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
