Introduction

If you are receiving frequently memory warnings or having difficulty running software, there may be an issue with your RAM. Before continuing with this guide and replacing your RAM, verify that you do not have excessive software running on your computer. This can cause memory to fill up and will drastically decrease the speed of your computer. Consult our troubleshooting guide for more information.

This guide will show you how to replace the RAM in your Acer Aspire R5-571T-57Z0. Before starting this guide, make sure to power off your computer and disconnect it from any external devices. Once these steps are taken, replacing your RAM will be a simple process.

What you need

Step 1

              Back Panel               
  • Remove twelve 4.0 mm screws from the back of the laptop using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  • Use a nylon spudger to pry open the back of the laptop and remove it.

              Battery               
  • Remove the three 4.0 mm screws from the battery using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
  • Unplug the cable connected to the RAM.
  • Carefully remove the battery.

Step 4

              RAM               
  • Lift up the black flap covering the RAM.

  • Push the pins outward on each side of the RAM.

  • Take out the RAM by lifting it upwards.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
