  • Wedge your plastic opening tool into the crevice between the volume button and casing to create space.
  • Slide the plastic opening tool along this crevice to pry apart the backing of the tablet.

  • There is one zero insertion force connector that needs to be removed.
  • Use your plastic opening tool to flip up the black clip that secures the ribbon cable to the motherboard.
  • Once the clip is flipped up, the ribbon cable will be safe to remove.

  • To remove the four bundled cable connectors, push against the edges of the connector to loosen it up.
  • Pull the cable away from the connector.

  • Use a pair of tweezers to gently pull up the speaker closest to the motherboard.

  • Remove any tape that may be holding down the speakers or wires in place.
