- Remove the storage tray on the left edge of the device.

- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove seventeen 7mm screws from the lower case.

- Lift up the back case to remove it.

Battery
- Pull the battery connector away from the hard drive to disconnect it from its socket.

- Pull the white connector toward the battery to disconnect it.
- Pull the black tape-wrapped connector toward the battery to disconnect it.

- Remove the PH #0 screw from the center of the battery.

- Lift up the battery to remove it.
- Be careful not to bend the battery while lifting it out, as this may cause a fire hazard.
