Introduction
Try looking at this troubleshooting guide to see if there’s a simpler solution before attempting to replace the trackpad.
Make sure that your laptop is completely powered off, and disconnected from all external power sources before beginning your replacement.
What you need

Back Cover
- Remove the two 6mm JIS #0 screws from either side of the hinges.

- Remove the eight 4mm JIS #0 screws from the back cover.
Remove the eight 4mm JIS #0 screws from the back cover.
Step 3
- Insert an opening pick between the back panel and the sides of the computer to begin lifting the back off.
- There are several clips holding the cover in place.
- After the sides have been lifted, use the opening tool to finish opening the back cover.

- Lift off the back cover.

Battery
- Remove the two JIS #0 screws that connect the battery to the rest of the laptop.

- Pull the white tab connected to the battery out of the black tab that connects to the motherboard.
- It is extremely important that this is done carefully and slowly to avoid causing damage to the motherboard.

- Lift the battery out gently.

Trackpad
- Remove the strip of tape that secures the motherboard connector to the track pad.

- Unclip the motherboard connector from the track pad.

- Remove the strip of electrical tape from across the top of the track pad.

- Remove three 4 mm JIS #0 screws from the top of the track pad.

Step 12
- Lift the laptop base and the track pad will come out from the front of the laptop.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
