  • Make sure your device is turned off and disconnect your battery from the motherboard.

  • Open the Chromebook so the display is facing towards you.

  • Using a plastic opening tool or a spudger, carefully pry the plastic bezel around the screen.
  • If you start in the corner, you should be able to release the tabs there. Once those tabs have been released, you can release the rest by hand.

Step 4

  • Remove the four screws holding the display in place with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
  • Carefully lower the display to rest on the keyboard.

Step 5

  • The display connector is located on the back and is covered by some adhesive tape.
  • Carefully peal the tape back
  • Once the tape is peeled back, you can lift the bar to disconnect the display cable.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
