  • Make sure you turn off the laptop before starting.
  • Place the flat head screw driver under the key, but over the key clip retainer.

Step 2

  • Push down on one of the bottom corners of the key, so that the opposite diagonal corner rises and gives leeway.
  • Carefully place the flat head screw driver under the raised corner.
  • Carefully pry up from underneath the raised corner to raise the metal clips away from the key base.

Step 3

  • Pry up from the top left and right corners of the retainer subsequently.
  • Remove clip retainer.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
