Webpages are running slow and the computer processing is delayed.
The average Chromebook user can use many extensions. Some examples are Grammerly and Honey. With too many however, it can make the Chromebook run slower than it is supposed to. You can go to chrome, select more tools and then click the extensions tabs to delete any you do not use.
When using your computer, you may simply have apps that are running without your knowledge. This in turn makes the computer processing slower than they normally are because it is taking up processing power. You can close them out and allow your computer to run smoother.
Slow performance may be expected if there is a needed software update. You can check if there are any needed updates in for the operating system. You can also check if there are updates needed for the drivers in order to fix any security holes and make your computer compatible with different applications used.
The laptop is not showing any signs of powering on.
A battery life can deteriorate over time. This can depend on how much you use it, how hot it gets, and the quality of the battery. Overtime it will begin to die quickly and this is when you will need to replace it. To test for a faulty battery, plug in the power adapter and see if the light is either on or off. If it is on, then it is the battery that is faulty. It will need to be replaced.
If you have a faulty power adapter, there can be problems with how your computer chargers. There can be either too much or too little voltage. It can damage your computer if not replaced. If the light does not turn on, it means the power adapter is faulty. You may want to consider purchasing a replacement adapter.
The keys on the keyboard are not working or appear to be broken.
When the keys can’t be pressed, there may be debris or something under the key holding it. They can also stick because of liquids that might get in there. You can wipe it off the and once it appears to be clean enough, you can snap the key back in and test it out.
If any keys on the keyboard are missing, you can buy replacement keys.
The touchpad is not responding to any movements or clicks.
Some laptops tend to have shortcuts that can disable the touchpad. This can be used to avoid taping something when you are typing with your keyboard. You can re-enable it if it is disabled to use it again.
Touchpad drivers are used in order to tell the computer what you want to click on. You can check if the drivers are up to date in order to be able to use it.
The touchpad has become damaged or is no longer working and needs to be replaced.
Applications do not let you turn your camera on.
The camera may not be turning on because the settings blocked it. You can turn it back on to enable it. This will allow it to turn back on.
Some antivirus softwares may block out your camera for security purposes. There may be times where it also blocks it because it is a default setting and also because it may detect malicious softwares.
