  • To remove the back panel, insert an opening tool into the small crack between the screen and back panel. Gently pry open the tablet.

  • Remove the black piece of tape that is holding the red, yellow, and white wires in place.

  • Once the tape has been removed, gently pinch the wires and remove them from the socket. They should come out easily.

  • Carefully work a plastic spudger underneath the battery and pry it free.
  • Use an iOpener or carefully apply heat with a heat gun to soften the adhesive under the battery.
  • Be careful not to bend or puncture the battery.
