Broken touchscreen removal
- Here starts the painfull work.
- The touchscreen is strongly sticked to the frame with a foamed double-sided tape.
- You can heat up the taped area with an hairdryer to decrease to tape resistance.
- When soften, introduce plastic opening tools to separate frame and touchscreen.
- Be careful as the touchscreen will broke easily in little pieces when prying up.

- Remove all remaining tape marks before applying new tape.
- I used standard foamed double-sided tape.
- Cut to the right size so there are no remainming free space, which would allow dirt to squeeze through !

Excellent, just waiting for my battery to charge up so I can test it.

Too complicated for me, one cable broken. Better to order glass after successful dissassembly

You saved my day! It was the first time for me to repair the touchscreen of a tablet and everything works fine.
Additionally I have some remarks:
The named tools are useful and were needed. For the single steps it is therefore necessary to order a set of tools including the double-sided tape.
I repaired an A3-A11 and obviously there a some differences regarding the structure: There are two more cooper plates like screenshots 19 and 20 solid at the battery plate and two more connectors like wifi antenna.
This was not a problem because the cooper plates were stucked at the frame with a plastic peace and could be easily solved. The connectors could be also solved easily.
The reversed action of step 23 (assembly of metal plate) is tricky and must be done very carefully. Otherwise it could be that the back cover doesn’t fit correctly.
The usage of a hair dryer for the removal of tape should be done carefully otherwise the frame could be warped (step 26).

Perfekte Anleitung! Vielen Dank!
Kleine - hoffentlich hilfreiche - Anmerkungen:
a) Als “plastic opening tools” habe ich Gitarren-Plektren in 1mm Stärke verwendet.

worked great…thanks a bunch! Getting all the old tape off took the longest. The other things took less than 10 minutes. I used double sided 3M molding tape. it worked but was a little thicker than the original tape. It’s strong though. I’ve had issues in other tape not holding if the plastic was warped a bit during the heat process. Thanks again…
