What you need

Step 1

              Battery               
  • Be sure to power off and unplug your device before you begin your repair.
  • Remove the twelve screws on the back cover using the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

  • Use an opening tool to pry the back cover open.

  • Remove two 4 mm screws at the two corners of the battery using the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

  • Carefully remove the three tapes on the battery.

  • Carefully slide the battery connector out of its motherboard socket.

  • Remove the battery from the device.

              Trackpad               
  • Using the blue spudger, pry the two black clips from the two ribbon cables on the bottom of the mouse pad.

  • Remove ribbon cables connected to the middle of the mouse pad.
  • Remove the adhesive tape from the left side of the mouse pad.

  • Using the phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the 4 screws securing the mouse pad.

Step 10

  • Using your thumbs, push the mouse pad from the inside of the computer towards ur self and slide the mousepad out of the computer.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
