Introduction

Ensure that the device is fully powered off before following the steps below.

What you need

Step 1

              Battery Pack               
  • Turn the computer over so the base is facing up.
  • Slide the battery lock to unlock position.

  • Slide the battery release latch to the right.
  • The battery pack will pop out.

  • Lift the battery up.
  • Pull out the battery.

              Base Door               
  • Remove the five 7mm Phillips #1 screws.

  • Use the opening tool to separate base door from the bottom of the laptop.
  • Be careful not to bend or crack the plastic back cover.

  • Gently pry open the base door by pushing up.
  • Pull out the base door.
  • Be careful not to bend or crack the plastic back cover.

              RAM               
  • Locate the two RAM sticks on the bottom of the laptop.

Step 8

  • Pinch the two metal pieces holding the RAM sticks in place outwards.
  • Holding the sides of the RAM, slide the RAM sticks out.
  • Be careful not to touch the gold connection pins on the RAM sticks, as this could damage the RAM

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
