Introduction
What you need
Step 1
Locate the closing mechanism on the bonnet
- Open the bonnet from the inside of the car (use the lever in the glove-box) and raise the bonnet completely open.
- The 13mm screw used to adjust the closing mechanism of the bonnet. This is the one that probably needs adjustment
- Screws which secure the mechanism to the bonnet
- Spring which raises the bonnet slightly so that it can be further opened by hand

Step 2
Adjust closing mechanism using the screw
- Use the 13mm Wrench to screw/unscrew the bonnet closing mechanism so that it gets adjusted. Usually it needs unscrewing a little so that it reaches the closing mechanism on the car.
- The missing black paint on the screw indicates how much this bonnet closing mechanism needed adjustment
- After adjusting, if unscrewing was needed and the closing mechanism screw shows unpainted parts it would be wise to spray-paint the area to protect from corrosion/rust in the future.

After adjustment the front bonnet should fully close easily when lowering.
