Remove the Back Cover
- Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove all of the screws in the back cover.
- If necessary, use a plastic opening tool to avoid damaging the back cover while removing it. Make sure that you are unclipping any clips that may be holding the back cover onto the laptop.

Step 2
Remove the Network Card
- Lift up the flap that covers the network card.
- Use a spudger to undo the two wires that connect the network card to the motherboard.
- Undo the screw holding the network card in. It will pop out at an angle.
- Remove the network card.

Step 3
Remove the Second Layer of Casing that Protects the Components
- Remove the second layer of casing that protects the battery.
- Make sure not to bend and or damage this layer of casing that protects all of the components while removing it. Remove any screw and or unclip any clip that may be holding it together.

Step 4
Remove the Cable that Connects the Battery to the Motherboard
- Use a spudger to unplug the battery cable from the motherboard.
- Be sure to use ESD safe tools when removing the battery cable.

Step 5
Remove the Battery
- Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the screws holding down the battery.

Installing the New Battery
- Place the new battery in the correct position and reinstall the screws that hold the battery in place. Next , connect the cable into the battery connector.

Reassemble the Device
- Once the battery is installed, reassemble your laptop completely and test your laptop by turning it on.
- If your laptop does not turn on, disassemble your device and check to make sure that you did not miss anything, skip a step, that all of the connectors and cables are connected and or connected properly, and or that everything is put back together properly.

Final Tests
- Wait for your computer to boot up and then sign in. Once you are signed in, click on the icon that looks like a battery in the bottom right corner of the screen to check the battery.
- If the new battery can hold a charge, stays charged for a few hours, and re-enables you to use your laptop without the charger plugged in, then the new battery is working properly.
