If your device is fully charged and not responding, it could be due to a minor issue such as dirt build-up or residue in the buttons.
Tip: Do not use your device near water, sinks, or other wet locations.
Step 2: Clean the device buttons with a soft cloth, that is slightly damp. Failure to follow these instructions could lead to fire and electric shock. Be careful not to wipe it with any harsh chemicals.
Step 3: If the previous steps don’t work, consider removing the buttons and carefully wiping it clean under that area. If needed, review our Button Replacement guide.
If the device still does not turn on, this could be the result of a faulty battery. Consider replacing the battery.
Make sure that your power adapter is plugged into a working outlet. If the adapter is not fully plugged into the outlet, the device will not charge.
Ensure that your charging cord is not frayed or damaged in any section.
The power adapter, and/or charging cord may be faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement power adapter and/or charging cord.
“Speaker is not producing sound, or the sound is cutting out.”
The volume on your Echo Show may have been turned down. Try hitting the “volume up” button located on the top of the screen and playing something with sound to see if the problem has been solved.
If your device has been exposed to water, it may have leaked into the hardware and damaged the speaker.
Try drying off the internal hardware and waiting 24 hours before testing your device. If the sound is still not working, continue to the full replacement of the speakers. Please refer to the ++Speaker Replacement guide++ for further instruction.
If the sound is cutting out, then you may have a connection issue. Check the strength of your WiFi and try disconnecting and reconnecting to the source. You can disconnect and reconnect by going into the “Device Settings” tab in the Alexa app followed by tapping the “Change” tab and selecting the correct network.
Your WiFi source may also be too far out of range. Try moving your device closer to your router to generate a stronger connection.
“My screen won’t turn on or display anything.”
Check to make sure that the power cord is securely plugged in on both sides of the device.
If your screen refuses to turn on, there may be something wrong with the connection to the power brick or a problem with your digitizer or LCD.
Restart your device by either unplugging the device from the port or unplugging the brick from the outlet. If the screen still doesn’t turn on, there may be a problem internally. You may need to replace the screen. Please follow the screen removal guide below.

“My Echo Show won’t connect to my device through Bluetooth.”
Move your Echo Show and device you are pairing it to away from objects that may interfere with your signal. Make sure that there are no objects in the way of the device being paired and your Echo Show.
Make sure that the device has Bluetooth enabled in its settings on the Alexa app. After enabling Bluetooth on your desired device, pair it through your Echo Show or device settings.
Disconnect any devices that are currently connected via Bluetooth from your Echo Show. Try connecting the device you want to pair.
“My device cannot find my wifi network or will not connect to my wifi network.”
Your Echo Show may not be able to connect to your router because it is too far away. Position your Echo Show closer to your router until the name of your router shows up as available. If it does not appear then please continue down for more troubleshooting solutions.
Relocate your Echo Show away from appliances or solid objects which may obstruct the signal from your router to your Echo Show. Avoid having objects such as walls, microwaves, and refrigerators between your Echo Show and your router.
If you do not see the name of the network you are trying to connect to, check to see if your router is working by ensuring that it is turned on and all of the lights that should be on are working. If the lights are not indicating that the router is working, restart your router by hitting the reset button if available or unplugging and replugging the router back in.
If services that use the internet are not updating or are cutting in and out, you may not have enough internet to sustain service. The bandwidth of the router may be exceeded which would cause a bottlenecking effect on devices using the internet. Disconnect other devices connected to your WiFi to free up bandwidth. If the problem still persists, try resetting your Echo Show.
