Introduction

What you need

  • Carefully remove the ear pad from the speaker that the microphone is attached to. Repeat on the other side.

  • Remove the four screws from each side of the headset.

  • After the screws are removed the black piece of the cover can now come off. Remove this piece.

  • Then you will see more screws around the now silver edge and a black cushioning pad in the middle. The number of screws depends on the speaker you are replacing, one side has 2 screws while the other has 4.

  • Remove the screws in the silver edge.

  • Once the screws are removed, the speaker should come out now.
  • Note: the speaker might still be connected to the headset through a wire so you must be gentle pulling about the headset.

  • After that take off the cover. If the speaker is still connected and no wires are visibly damaged, then the speaker(s) is not the problem with your device. Please refer back to the troubleshooting page and make sure that the Astro A50 has the newest firmware, etc. If the wire is not connected continue to the next step.

Step 8

  • To reconnect the wire you will need to solder the wire back to the mic port. If you need help soldering refer to the soldering guide here.
  • Note: soldering is very dangerous and should not be done without supervision if you have never done it before.

  • After that put the headset back together, check to verify that the speaker is working.

  • If there is still no sound or static, then the speaker might be “blown” and/or needs to be replaced completely. If so, please order a new speaker and follow the same steps to replace the whole speaker.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

I I have problem with my astro a50 ps4 I hear good but when I want talk to someone no one hears me please I want to solve, note the headset did not fall or be damaged!! Help me please

i blew out the left side of my earphone astro a50 for xbox one/pc and i wish i could order the parts but astro said they dont have a repair shop or parts. and that they will sell me a new one for a discounted price. that sucks
