- Use the T5 screwdriver to remove the nine 2.1 mm screws from the bottom of the device.

- Use the iFixit opening tool to remove the 4 pads to reveal six 3.1 mm screws underneath.

- Use the T5 screwdriver to remove the 6 3.1 mm screws under the pads.
- There might be a layer of tape that covers the screws. Remove the tape first with a pair of tweezers.

- Use the iFixit opening tool to pry the backing of the device off.

- Use the tweezers to separate the cables from the motherboard.
- You need to reach inside and peel some tape to disconnect the wire.

- Use the JIS1 screwdriver to remove the four 2.1 mm screws around the audio cards.

- Gently disconnect the audio cards, exposing the battery.

- Use the J00 screwdriver to remove the three 1.7 mm battery screws.

- Grip the battery and remove it from the device.
- Remove the battery cable out of the motherboard by lifting the battery cables.
