  • Wedge the plastic opening tool between the defective key and the keyboard.
  • Pivot the plastic opening tool back and forth to loosen the defective key.

Step 2

  • Grip the edge of the loosened key with the tweezers and pull upward until it separates from the keyboard.
  • Individual keys are designed to snap on and off the keyboard. Remove the defective key and press the replacement key firmly in its place. There will be a clicking sound when it is secured.
