  • Remove the eight 9.0 mm Philips screws along the perimeter of the case.
  • Remove the three 6.0 mm Philips screws from the center of the case.

  • Using a plastic opening tool, separate the bottom case at the steam.

  • Open the Chromebook at hinges.

              Mouse pad               
  • Use plastic opening tool to pry open clip holding keyboard wires to the circuit board.
  • Use plastic opening tool to pry open clip holding mouse pad wires to circuit board.

Step 6

  • Lift and remove keyboard from device. The keyboard and Mouse pad are one part that must be replaced simultaneously.
