What you need

Step 1

              Lower Case               
  • Unscrew the eight bottom cover screws (one of them is under the hand) using a screwdriver with a J1000 tip.
  • Unscrew the middle screw towards the top of the device using a screwdriver with a T5 tip.

Step 2

  • Use the plastic opening tool to remove the four bottom rubber feet.

Step 3

  • Unscrew the four screws under the feet using a screwdriver with a J100 tip.

Step 4

  • Use the plastic opening tool to pry up the palm rest assembly.

Step 5

  • Disconnect the two cables from the motherboard with tweezers

great guide, though i found the nine screws on the outside required a t5 tip, while the 5 under the feet looked like they were either j100 or j1000, but a philips head worked.
