The laptop is not showing any signs of powering up.

Check to see if the power adapter is plugged in and the charge light is on. If the light is not on and the adapter is plugged in, the adapter is faulty, Consider purchasing a replacement adapter.

If the light of the adapter is on, check to see if the adapter is connected to the laptop. If the laptop only powers on when the adapter is plugged in, regardless of charging time, then the battery is faulty. Replace the battery Asus Chromebook Flip C100P Battery Replacement.

The laptop is not showing signs or charging despite being plugged into a power adapter.

Check to see if the charging port on the Chromebook is clean inside. If the item is large enough to remove, take a pair of plastic tweezers and remove the object. If there is dirt on either the charger or inside the port, that could be blocking your power source. Clean them using compressed air (i.e. air dusters, keyboard cleaners) and once clean check to see if they work. If this does not fix your problem try another one.

If the light of the adapter is on, check to see if the adapter is connected to the laptop. If the laptop only powers on when the adapter is plugged in, regardless of charging time, then the battery is faulty. Replace the battery iBook G3 12" Display Replacement

After furiously tapping on the screen, it is still unresponsive.

Use a clean, soft microfiber cloth to clean the screen. If this does not help, lightly damp the cloth and clean the screen.

Press and hold the power button on your laptop until the laptop powers down and turn it on or use the mouse pad to select the restart option. Once turned on, check to see if the screen is responsive using your finger. If this does not fix your problem, try another one.

If the screen does not respond after using the previous steps, then the screen is faulty. Replace the screen.

Typing on the keyboard does nothing.

When the key is pressed down and there is a crunching sound, there may be crumbs stuck under the keys. Use a cotton swab or a can of compressed air to remove the crumbs. If that fails, gently remove the key by lifting it up and away from the keyboard. After, remove the crumbs under the key. Gently press the key back into place when finished.

If the keyboard is not working, you can update or reinstall the keyboard drivers. By going to the Control Panel, and clicking Device Manager, you will have the option to update the drivers or uninstall then reinstall drivers. Both of these options require internet connection.

If one or two keys on the keyboard does not work, they need to be replaced.

The keyboard may be physically damaged by spilling liquid over the keys. If a majority of the keys are unresponsive, replace the keyboard iBook G3 12" Display Replacement.

If your browser is slow and your keyboard is taking a while to respond, there is a high chance you have a virus. To remove have a hard factory reset.

Still can’t listen to your favorite song…

Check to see if the audio port on the Chromebook is clean inside. If there is dirt on either the audio jack or inside the port, that could be blocking your power source. Clean them using compressed air (i.e. air dusters, keyboard cleaners) and once clean check to see if they work. If this does not fix your problem try another solution.

If the audio port doesn’t successfully connect to a speaker using an audio jack, when both the laptop and speaker are turned on, a replacement may be needed.

Test that your own headphones are not the cause of this problem by plugging them into another device. If they do not work, we recommend buying yourself a new pair of headphones.

Laptop doesn’t recognize devices through the USB port.

Dust and debris can enter the port through repeated use. Clean the port using compressed air (i.e. air dusters, keyboard cleaners) and once clean check to see if it works. If this does not fix your problem try another one.

Occasionally, the software that is installed doesn’t allow the computer to properly recognize the devices connected to the USB port. Check for updates and restart the laptop.

The wire is being used to connect to the laptop may be damaged and must be replaced to ensure a safe connection between two devices.
