The Asus Chromebook will not connect to the internet, or if the laptop does not show any Wi-Fi connection to the user.

There may be an issue where Asus Chromebook won’t connect to the internet.

  • From the bottom right toolbar, click on the status area.The status window will open. In it, click on “Connected to…“Or “Add Connection“It will then present a list of available networks.Click on the top network in bold to enable the network.

Sometimes when you are using the device, there will be times when the Wi-Fi connection won’t let you use the Wi-Fi or if the Wi-Fi option isn’t there. That Wi-Fi card needs to be replaced with a new one.

The Laptop battery status will stay and not charge fully, or not charge at all.

From time to time, the AC adapter can go bad. If it takes a longer time than usual to charge, or if there is no power from the AC Adapter, It’s time to get a new one.

The laptop can last a while but it won’t be a lifetime. If you notice that the battery won’t charge or if the battery is draining rapidly. It’s time for a replacement.

The speaker on the device will not work when trying to receive audio.

Make sure that the audio is set to its standard settings. For example, make sure it’s not connected to any Bluetooth devices or headphones.

For Bluetooth

  • To Check, go to the status page on the bottom rightThe status page should bring up a menu toolbox, Then click on Bluetooth and disconnect them from there.

For Speakers

  • Go to the status page on the bottom right.Open the status page and click on the headphone icon.Make sure the audio is changed to “Speakers“

Your device may have its audio turned off. To check if the audio is off, make sure you go to set it to the right audio.

  • By doing so go to the bottom right of the home screen and click on the status pageThen In the Audio Icon that has a Slider to control, move the slider to see if audio is coming out or, click on the icon to see if the audio is off.

The speaker inside the laptop may be loose or glitching/static. If so, a new speaker for the device is needed for a replacement.

The keyboard will not function while using it and LED lights will not show up, The Keyboard might be stuck while using.

If no LED lights show or if it’s not responding to the device, it is time for a keyboard replacement.

The Touchpad/trackpad may not be responsive when being used.

The laptop ribbon cable may be damaged or loose and need to be replaced or put back into place.
