  • Remove the battery.

  • unscrew the 4 screws, purple arrow

  • use a screwdriver to press in the 2 slots to unlock the keyboard hooks

  • pry up the 2 side points to release the joints
  • Using a flat opening tool, unclip the keyboard along the perimeter

  • unhook the keyboard
  • Disconnect the ribbon cable by opening the 2 black side latches

  • Disconnect the 2 ribbon cables

  • remove the screws, including the one under the yellow sticker

  • Pry in the 2 points. Using a flat tool release the trackpad block along the perimeter

  • unhook and remove the mouse block

  • Remove heatsink and fan screws
  • Unhook fan ribbon cable

Step 11

  • carefully clean the old Arctic cooling paste on the processor and heatsink
  • before reassembling put some new Arctic paste
  • To replace or remove HDD, unhook the 2 ribbon cables (purple arrow). Remove 2 screws (yellow arrow)
