Fan
- Remove ten 18mm Phillips #0 screws from the backside of the device.

Step 2
- Open the laptop.
- Begin to pry upward on the edges of the faceplate in order to separate the keyboard and trackpad from the rest of the device.
- Be cautious of the cables connecting the keyboard and trackpad to the motherboard.
- To remove the ZIF connector, gently lift upward on the blue tab to disconnect it from the motherboard.

Step 3
- Fold the faceplate upwards towards the screen to fully expose the inside of the laptop.
- Both the battery and the hard drive adapter PCB will need to be moved in order to lift and access the backside of the motherboard.
- Unscrew the eight Phillips #0 screws on from the battery, and four Phillips #0 screws from the hard drive adapter PCB.
Fold the faceplate upwards towards the screen to fully expose the inside of the laptop.
Both the battery and the hard drive adapter PCB will need to be moved in order to lift and access the backside of the motherboard.
Unscrew the eight Phillips #0 screws on from the battery, and four Phillips #0 screws from the hard drive adapter PCB.
Step 4
- Remove the CD drive by unscrewing the single 4mm Phillips #0 screw and sliding the drive away from the motherboard.
- Disconnect the two antennas that are attached to the network card.

Step 5
- Remove the seven 4mm Phillips #0 screws holding the motherboard down to the laptop chassis.
- Lift the motherboard upwards, folding it towards the laptop screen.
- The motherboard will still be attached by two wires, but it is unnecessary to remove these wires to access the fan.
- Disconnect the 4-pin PWM cable attaching the fan to the back of the motherboard. The fan can now be removed by simply sliding the fan off the copper heat pipe.
Remove the seven 4mm Phillips #0 screws holding the motherboard down to the laptop chassis.
Lift the motherboard upwards, folding it towards the laptop screen.
The motherboard will still be attached by two wires, but it is unnecessary to remove these wires to access the fan.
Disconnect the 4-pin PWM cable attaching the fan to the back of the motherboard. The fan can now be removed by simply sliding the fan off the copper heat pipe.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
