- Disconnect the charging cable if applicable.
- Push the two locking mechanisms away from the center of the device and slowly remove the battery.

- Insert the blue prying tool into each of the five tabs at the top of your keyboard, moving from the outer edge inward. Use the blue prying tool to separate the keyboard from the palm rest.
- Use your hand to gently pull the keyboard away from the laptop.

- As the keyboard comes loose, gently lift the board up so the bottom is exposed
- The base of the keyboard will be tethered to the device by a piece of silver cable ribbon. Tearing this piece away from the keyboard quickly can damage the device.
- Use your fingers to gently disconnect the silver cable ribbon from the palm rest.
