Battery
- Press and slide the two battery retention clips on either side of the battery towards the unlock position.

- Pull the right side retention clip so that the red indicator is showing.
- The small graphic below the retention clip denotes locked and unlocked positions. The clip will stay put once moved into position.

- Pull the retention clip on the left hand side of the laptop away from the battery.
- Gently pull the battery out with your free hand.

USB 3.0/Audio Ports
- Remove the eight Phillips #0 screws.

- Gently pull towards yourself and up to remove the first plastic cover.

- Use the iFixit opening tool around the outside line where the top of the laptop meets the bottom to separate components.

- Flip the laptop over and lift the keyboard tray gently towards the screen.
- Remove the 3 ribbon cables from the motherboard end.

- With the keyboard tray out of the way, remove the tape holding down the accessory board ribbon cable.

- Pull the ribbon cable out of its slot on the USB/Audio port board as shown.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
